"Heraclitis"

Craig Stein from Broome jogged my memory about this 'thing' that came alongside us. Alternative lifestyle folks (!) from San Francisco. Told me it was a cross between the two most successful ship designs in history - the Chinese junk and the Arab dhow. Right...A junk-rigged ferro-cement dhow with recycled highway light poles for masts. The after mast was also the exhaust for the old truck diesel engine and fired spectacular donuts when it started up. Pretty rough living from what we could see!

As you can see, its name was HERACLITUS - do I have to tell you what my Aussie crew called it...........?

Craigs dad, Kingsley, a lovely man and our Agent in Broome beat me to the purchase of the steering wheel which they flogged for funds.

Hope you've still got it Craig - can I have it now?
